Kuumbwa-Presented Concerts
COVID-19 Safety Acknowledgment:
An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public space where people are present. By attending a Kuumbwa Jazz-presented event, and/or an event at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center, you expressly agree to comply with any and all policies and safety guidelines put in place by the event organizers, and voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19, waiving all claims and potential claims against the event organizers, and their affiliated companies relating to such risks. Kuumbwa Jazz ticketing policies and member benefits are applicable for Kuumbwa Jazz-presented concerts at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center and Rio Theatre, which are ticketed by Kuumbwa Jazz. Kuumbwa Jazz-presented concerts at venues such as Sunset Cultural Center and Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium are subject to the venues’ respective ticket policies and operations.

Gift Certificate
Purchase a Kuumbwa Jazz gift certificate and the recipient will receive a voucher code redeemable for ticket purchases and/or memberships. See below for more info and click here to purchase.
At The Door
Tickets are available at the door for Kuumbwa Jazz-presented concerts at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center and Rio Theatre beginning one hour prior to the event start.
Independently-Produced Events

Tickets for independently-produced events are available at a variety of outlets. Please check the desired listing on our calendar page for ticketing information.
Account Credit
If you have credit on your account you can redeem it via your online Kuumbwa Jazz account, or by calling our office at (831) 427-2227.
Ticket Transfers
If you wish to transfer your ticket(s) to another party please contact our office directly at (831) 427-2227 or keith@kuumbwajazz.org. For independently-produced events, please reach out to the presenter directly.
Gift Certificates
When you purchase a Kuumbwa Jazz gift certificate, the recipient will receive an email with a voucher code. The code can be entered/redeemed upon checkout and can be used for Kuumbwa-presented concert tickets and membership donations on kuumbwajazz.org. The voucher can be redeemed with any Kuumbwa ticket-buyer account (if the recipient does not already have an account they will be prompted to create one). Vouchers cannot be redeemed at the door box office. Once a voucher is redeemed, any remaining balance may only be used with that account.
Kuumbwa-Presented Concert Ticket Policies
- ALL SALES FINAL – Once you have purchased your tickets there are no refunds, credits, or exchanges allowed, excepting applicable membership benefits.
- ACOMMODATIONS & SPECIAL NEEDS – Please let us know of any special needs you may have by calling us in advance at 831-427-2227.
- SERVICE CHARGE & TAX – All tickets have an added service charge (amount varies depending upon the price of the ticket). All tickets purchased are subject to 5% City of Santa Cruz Admission Tax
- WILL CALL – All online and phone orders will be noted on the will call list at the door. There is no separate line for will call. Doors open one hour prior to show-time, unless otherwise noted. When ordering tickets, a valid email address must be entered in order to receive your confirmation. Please be prepared to present valid ID at the door.
- STUDENT TICKETS – Student ticket-holders must present a valid student ID at the door, for entry. A valid student ID must accompany each individual student ticket.
- EVENT CANCELLATION – In the event of a cancellation you will be notified via email with refund options.
General Policies
- Event date, time, and line-up are subject to change. Please use a valid email when ordering tickets so that we may contact you in case of changes.
- Tickets will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.
- Children occupying a seat must have a ticket. Many concerts are not suitable for babes-in-arms.
- Cans, bottles, and food from outside vendors are not allowed into the venue. Filtered water is available at no cost in our café.
- Your ticket is a revocable license. Management reserves right to eject disorderly patrons without refund,.
- Use of your ticket assumes all risk and danger in participating in event and authorizes permission for use of your image or likeness in rebroadcast.
