Singer and pianist Charles Brown was a blues legend. Between 1949 and 1952, Brown had seven Top 10 hits on the Billboard R&B chart. He garnered accolades from audiences and other musicians and was later inducted into both the Blues and Rock and Roll Halls of Fame. “I’m drifting and drifting, like a ship out on the sea”, he crooned in “Driftin’ Blues,” later covered by the likes of Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, and Bobbie “Blue” Bland.

This special Tribute to Charles Brown features renowned vocalist Nicolas Bearde, former Brown bandmates guitarist Danny Caron and bassist Ruth Davies, as well as saxophonist Kristen Strom, drummer Deszon Claiborne, and pianist Eamonn Flynn.
