Sylvia Cuenca is an acclaimed drummer on the New York and San Francisco Bay Area jazz scenes, who has collaborated with a wide variety of artists, from Joe Henderson to Clark Terry.  Sylvia Cuenca’s Bridging Generations feat. Wallace Roney Jr., Rico Jones, David Kikoski & Essiet Okon Essiet brings together an ensemble of inter-generational powerhouse musicians, performing a combination of original material from bandmembers, arrangements of the Great American Songbook, plus Latin and Brazilian standards.

Saxophonist Rico Jones and trumpet player Wallace Roney Jr. are leading artists of their younger generation, pushing musical boundaries while remaining grounded in traditional jazz roots. Pianist David Kikoski, bassist Essiet Okon Essiet, and drummer Cuenca all share their expertise and experience of years on the road with myriad jazz icons and legends.
