Mason Razavi Organ Quartet
Guitarist Mason Razavi has been a mainstay on the Bay Area jazz scene for over a decade, having led his groups at SF Jazz, San Jose Jazz, and Bach Dancing and Dynamite as well as countless clubs and concert series. His albums have often featured ambitious original music that has been warmly received, with albums peaking in the top 20 on the jazz radio charts. He’s performed with some of the west coast’s great musicians including Anton Schwartz, John Stowell, Hristo Vitchev, Jamie Davis, Josh Nelson, Charles McNeal, Carl Saunders, Lorca Hart, and many others.
Razavi has been praised for his “. . . sensitivity, soulfulness, and swing” (All About Jazz), while his compositions offer “an introspective experience of deeper meaning” (JazzTimes). He’s an adjunct professor at West Valley College and holds degrees from San Jose State University and the Berklee College of Music.
