A vibrant, gorgeous evening of neo-soul with the Musical Soulmates Performers Collaborative. Taking the stage will be Kate Saphir Alm, piano & director; Etienne Franc, bass; Zack Olsen, drums; along with vocalists Anthony JonesGina RenéAriel Thiermann and Candace Johnson, They are joined by Sage Clearleaf, teen sensation Jocelyn Reyes, and a special guest appearance by Alexandra The AuthorExpect a vocal selection by bassist, Etienne Franc, always a crowd favorite. With Music Director Kate Saphir Alm’s much praised acumen for curating set lists, listeners can look forward not only to hearing and grooving to songs by international artists such as Lizz Wright, Erykah Badu, Gregory Porter, Drea D’Nur and Rami Nashahibi, but also local stars Gina René and recent Nexties Musician of the Year, Mak Nova.

‍The evening of music is designed to bring joy and energy to the room while holding space for and bearing witness to survivors, acknowledging the connection between colonialism and racism to domestic violence, empowering survivors, and bringing healing and transcendence to all.
