The Joel Frahm Trio – featuring saxophonist Joel Frahm, bassist Dan Loomis, and drummer Ernesto Cervini – has quickly become one of today’s most exciting chord-less ensembles. Their acclaimed debut The Bright Side (2021) and follow-up Lumination (2024), both on Anzic Records, showcase original compositions full of groove, lyricism, and fearless interplay. Frahm’s warm, powerful sound and emotional directness find perfect balance with Loomis’ inventive bass lines and Cervini’s dynamic drumming.
