Kuumbwa Jazz Camp Concert

Kuumbwa’s Jazz Camp is an annual day camp for students 12-18 years old who are interested in learning to play jazz. Students receive both one-on-one and group instruction and the camp focuses on live performance, basic improvisation, theory, soloing concepts/phrasing, along with jazz history and appreciation. Daily classes are held in the VAPA complex at Cabrillo College, with this culminating Kuumbwa Jazz Camp Concert held on the Kuumbwa Jazz Center stage.
