In this unique duo setting, guitarist Hristo Vitchev and pianist Jivko Petrov seek to explore the multihued sonic tapestry of the modern cross-cultural and dynamic world we live in, drawing inspiration from the many different places that have shaped and influenced each one of them. Both Vitchev and Petrov have an extensive discography catalog as leaders with their own groups with multiple award winning albums released over the years and currently they are working on their debut album with this duo project.

Referred by the media as one of the newest and most innovative voices in modern jazz guitar and voted “Rising Star on Guitar” by DownBeat Magazine, Vitchev’s music has been captivating audiences all across the globe.

Petrov is one of the most accomplished and unique modern jazz pianists in Eastern Europe. As a composer, he is also one of the most prominent figures in the Bulgarian scene where his talents have been widely used in film, tv and by the area’s biggest pop stars. Equally at home in the jazz and classical idiom, Petrov’s unique touch and voice on the instrument has impressed audiences for the last few decades.

Their latest album On The Way was released in 2023, achieving very high placement on the JazzWeek charts.
