Bennett Roth is a jazz pianist, emcee, composer, and music educator. An accomplished bandleader and in-demand sideman and accompanist, he has performed on multiple occasions at San Jose Jazz Summerfest and Winterfest, SFJazz, and the Great American Music Hall to name a few. Roth’s latest album It’ll Always Work Out features all new modern jazz compositions performed in a piano trio setting, blending funk, samba, and hip-hop. His discography also includes his full-length album Grown (2022); the duo album After You (2015) with guitarist Mason Razavi; The Bad Ones (2016), his self-titled debut album with six of his own compositions; and Put It Out (2019), a four-song hip-hop and jazz-influenced project. Roth has shared stages with notable artists including Matt Wilson, John Handy, Carl Allen, and Charo, while opening for acts like Moonchild, Teedra Moses and B.o.B.

A 2022 San Jose Jazz Aid Fund Grantee and 2024 Leigh Weimers Emerging Artists Award recipient, his compositions have reached beyond concert halls to television, including the Amazon series Cross and high school sport program 49ers Cal Hi Sports. His film score for the recent documentary San Jose Is Not For Sale demonstrates his versatility as both a performer and composer.

The Bennett Roth Trio – Tribute to Thelonious Monk will feature Roth on piano, William Johnston Bohrer on electric bass and Michael Henning on drums.
