A celebrated sarod artist, composer, and collaborator, Alam Khan bridges tradition and innovation. Alam’s lineage traces to Mian Tansen, the legendary 16th-century court musician of the Mughal Emperor Akbar. Alam’s grandfather, Acharya Baba Allauddin Khan, was the teacher and guru to the most revered figures in Indian classical music: sarod master Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and sitar master Ravi Shankar.
