Spurs // Painted Horses – Club Kuumbwa

As the Santa Cruz Weekly puts it, “Spurs breathe the spring-like freshness of their down-to-earth, soulful tunes…” This lo-fi alt-folk group explores depth of sound and subject matter within the span of a scenic drive, often layering guitars, cello, organs, and percussion over a centralized rhythmic acoustic theme. Painted Horses formed in early 2014, mostly through talking and dreaming of what was to come. Denys Kozakis and Natosha Wengreen discovered their mutual love for songwriting and singing harmonies and started the project along with their good friend and musical partner Jon Payne. Their debut album, Ponderosa Pines, was released in March.  Doors at 8:00 PM $5 at the door All ages www.facebook.com/paintedhorseswest www.facebook.com/spurs.band Ponderosa Pines by The Painted Horses Send Newsletters to your fans from...
