Advance ticket sales for this show have ended. Tickets will be available at the door starting at 6:00 PM. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 PCR test (taken within 48 hours of the performance time), with matching photo ID, will be required at the door for entry. Masks are encouraged. Yuko Mabuchi started playing classical piano at age four, in her hometown of Fukui, Japan. As a teenager she became fascinated by American R&B, hip hop and blues, but after hearing the music of some of the jazz greats, she fell in love with the music and began to study jazz piano. In 2010, Mabuchi arrived in Los Angeles to further her studies and had the opportunity to perform at some of LA’s top venues. Mabuchi has released five albums, beginning with Waves (2011) and My Life (2014). Her album Yuko Mabuchi Trio (2017) was recorded live at USC’s Cammilleri Hall, and topped the audiophile charts. Her fourth album, Yuko Mabuchi plays Miles Davis (2019) won ‘Jazz Album of the Year’ at Native DSD and her latest recording, titled YUKO, is a double album released in 2020.
