COVID-19 Update: Recognizing the mandate from the Governor of California and other official agencies, Kuumbwa Jazz is cancelling/postponing concerts through at least June 25th. Ticket-holders will be contacted directly regarding refunds and other ticketing options, such as crediting the ticket(s) towards a future concert date, or recognizing the value of a ticket purchase as a tax-deductible donation to Kuumbwa Jazz. We will be working on rescheduling as many concert dates as possible and will provide updates as they become available. We appreciate your understanding and we will continue to follow the direction and guidance provided by official agencies, as the wellbeing of our patrons and community remains our top priority.
Barcelona, Spain is home to the nuevo flamenco movement and Los Aurora, an exciting group in the aforementioned movement, that recently opened the city’s Ciutat Flamenco – one of the most important flamenco festivals in the world. The band is comprised of a talented circle of young artists who have created a unique melding of flamenco, jazz, and other contemporary genres. Los Aurora features vocalist Pere Martinez, pianist Max Villavecchia, bassist Javier Garrabella, drummer Joan Carles Mari, and dancer Pol Jiménez.
