Kuumbwa Jazz is no stranger to the music of New Orleans, as countless Crescent City luminaries have graced our stage over the years. But for this year’s annual fundraising gala – a benefit for our concert and education programs – a master of another art, Chef David Kinch, of Los Gatos’ Michelin-starred Manresa, joins us with his team from The Bywater to prepare a piquant dinner, paired with the fine wines of Miner Family Winery, an auction, live music and Bill the Oysterman’s half-shell delights at Kuumbwa’s Big Easy.
Saturday, November 4th at 5:30pm marks the date and time to join us at the Kuumbwa Jazz Center for what’s sure to be a memorable celebration, brought to you by our dear friends Miner Family Winery and The Bywater. This year’s auction highlights include a VIP package to Vienna’s Jazz Fest Wien, golf and lodging at Pebble Beach’s Spanish Bay, and a three-night stay in Manhatthan complete with jazz club tickets. Café Kuumbwa’s very own Cheryl Simons will also be preparing a menu of hors d’oeuvres to get the fête started, as wines are poured courtesy of Miner Family Winery and the private cellar of Erik & Judy Johnson.
