Vocalist Dianne Reeves is a singer's singer. At home in any style, she draws upon a wide array of influences, including the musics of Africa, Brazil, the Caribbean, as well as her background in jazz, gospel, and pop. She has earned three Grammy nominations and plenty of praise from other respected vocalists like the late Joe Williams who says: "…Dianne's the legitimate extension of all the good things that have gone on before, from Ethel Waters to Ella Fitgerald, and Sarah Vaughan, and Carmen McRae…" Her latest CD is The Calling: Celebrating Sarah Vaughan.
